Welcome to O:P:TV

O:P:TV is an algorithmically free, sovereign archive for the Object:Paradise community, preserving our poetic and cultural artifacts outside of conventional corporate platforms.

Our primary goal is to maintain a decentralized, self-governed directory of artists, poets, and collaborators. We aim to document our collective history while fostering new cross-border connections without relying on algorithmic feeds.

You can and we encourage it, but we want to make sure the OBJECT:PARADISE Archive — along with O:P:TV — is a coherent and consistent representation of the Manifesto and the community who helps sustain it. Our best advice to submitters is to watch 100 hours of O:P:TV at various times of day and in various types of moods.

Things you’ll notice: we shoot on VHS; we don’t know how to edit films; we work within our community; we don’t shoot perfect shots or capture perfect sound; we like concerts and actions and poetry readings and performances and drinking beer and filming all of it — oh, and Žižkov, of course.

Two pathways: Supporters can submit videos but must be in collaboration with a Verified Poet (someone already listed in the Poet Directory). Verified Poets can submit videos of themselves, and are always encouraged to collaborate with other poets in the network.

Submissions are made on this page and should include the title, a description, the associated poets, and why you think the film fits O:P:TV. Everything accepted is uploaded permanently to Archive.org under the OBJECT:PARADISE Label — so make sure you have consent and applicable rights for anything and anyone featured in your video.

Verified Poets are individuals who have participated in O:P events, collaborations, or are recognized community members.

To become verified: When registering an account (or via the directory), you can submit a “Claim Profile” request. Our admins will verify your identity. Once approved, you gain access to the Global Network Map and extended profile features.

No. Every tape in the Archive plays for anyone who walks in — no login, no paywall, no watch history held over you. An account only becomes necessary when you want to act rather than watch: claiming your poet profile, messaging the O:P Team or other poets, and curating your own corner of the network.

Yes, and please tell us. Credits are curated by hand, tape by tape — and the Poets Directory, the Network Map and the search index all read from them, so an uncredited performance is a poet missing from the whole archive. Message the O:P Team with the tape and the name as you want it spelled, and we’ll correct the record.

Use the CURATORIAL REQUEST button on the tape in question — that keeps your request attached to the material it concerns. If it spans more than one tape, or you would rather not say it in a form, message the O:P Team directly. Sovereignty over the archive means nothing if it does not extend to the people inside it. No ads, ever, and no recommendation engine deciding what you should watch next. The archive sets the cookies it needs to function, plus Google Analytics only if you consent to it in the cookie banner — decline and nothing analytical follows you. It does. SPACE plays and pauses, the arrow keys change tape and volume, F goes fullscreen, S starts surf mode (auto channel-hopping), D cuts the signal, and X opens the Video Mixer — hue, saturation, contrast, invert, multi-screen and mirror, on dials 1 through 6. Press 7 to tint the entire site to a colour of your choosing. It is your deck; nothing you do to the picture is permanent.
